Greetings from Washington, DC. As we enter the back half of summer, a few quick notes on the past few months.

I spent a few days underground, photographing the DC Metro system for the American Institute of Architects.

Timothy Geithner sat (and stood) for me in New York City, for WSJ.Money. Here's an exclusive look at some of my selects from thirty minutes with the former Secretary of the Treasury.

Lastly, I had the great pleasure of photographing Garrison Keillor backstage just before he recorded A Prairie Home Companion. Sometimes a subject lives up to everything you thought they'd be, and this is one of those times.

In other news, I met the President, after being recognized for my photo of Secretary of State John Kerry.

Hope you're enjoying these warm August days. I'll end this as Garrison Keillor ends his radio shows: Be well, do good work, and keep in touch.
