A bride-to-be poses for her pre-wedding photographs

» What’s New In April, I've shot assignments for some great new clients including Thicket Magazine, the Fader, and Guideposts. I worked for a number of repeat clients including National Public Radio, Veja (a Brazilian news magazine), and POZ Magazine. Also, I wrote about my experiences covering the McCain campaign in South Carolina for the Digital Journalist. Last newsletter, I mentioned a project I've been working on for the Guardian Weekend Magazine and I'm happy to announce it has finally been published. From December through March, I made a series of trips around the country photographing failed presidential candidates for Guardian's Weekend Magazine. The story took me from the frigid -25°F tundra of Mitchell, South Dakota in January, to a slightly more balmy portrait session with Bob Dole here in DC that lasted all of three minutes. Ed Pilkington, the reporter on the story, did a wonderful job interviewing each candidate and his article can be read here. You can see more photographs and a write-up of the experience on my blog. |

Many editors I've spoken with have asked me to let them know about future trips I'll be taking, so I'll close this newsletter with a brief outline of some upcoming travel, for which I'm available for assignments and have flexible dates to meet assignment needs. Thanks for reading and look for a new postcard mailer in June. best, |
