John Bogle is the founder of Vanguard, inventor of the index fund and one of the most engaging, energetic and funny 79 year olds I've met. When I first saw him, hunched over a table in a cramped, stuffy hotel conference room, I wasn't convinced he would even be able to walk to the shoot location. But once the press conference wrapped up, he got up, gathered his belongings, walked up straight to me with a hand extended and said, "Are you ready for me?"
What followed was a fun two hours of shooting in a few different locations I had scouted out in DC, talking about the stock-bond ratio in Vanguard Retirement Funds and hoping the cloudy sky wouldn't turn into rain.
